| Flashing And Writing Camera Settings To The Phone Flashing And Writing Camera Settings To The Phone Normally camera configuration files are automatically updated to the phone at the end of flashing. ![]() (camera settings are successfully written to the phone) If camera configuration files are missing from computer, then phoenix informs that camera configuration files are missing in output window, but anyway flashing is succeeded. ![]() (camera settings are not written to the phone, anyway succeeded popup window) Camera Configuration Fails In Phoenix Connect Phone to Phoenix Scan phone (CTRL-R) Go to -> Testing-> Camera configuration -> Read If DCC files are missing from computer then Read fails with error “Read failed”. Also fields in Camera Configuration window are empty. ![]() (In this example; Camera settings are missing from computer or there is some HW fault in the phone, verify with ok phone that camera settings files are correctly installed to the computer) Repair action: Install latest available major software data package for the phone variant or extract manually configuration files (see attachment) to the RM-xxx folder, this creates DCCProductData folder where configuration files are extracted. Note! The newest major DP for RM-640 (rm640_CareDP_7.00_NDT_07.16) does not contain DCC files. ![]() (Camera settings folder; path(RM-xxx) varies by product, but DCCProductData folder must be the same) Verify that the camera has the latest DCC files for camera tuning by doing this: Connect Phone to Phoenix Scan phone (CTRL-R) Go to -> Testing-> Camera configuration -> Read ![]() (Details of camera configuration are displayed; In this example the phone has older camera settings than is available in computer, however always rewrite DCC configuration and verify camera functionality. Different camera manufacturers and phone's software may have own DCC configuration and version number does not always get higher.) Press UPLOAD ---> OK This will write the latest DCC files to the phone. Read again camera settings and verify that the new configuration version and current configuration version are the same. |
