Member: 1437390 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hi. Have i-phone 3G 16GB phone that the wife put in a washing machine (about 1.5 years ago). She has since got a new phone. Was fiddling about with it, tried to recharge it, but it would keep showing a red battery sign with lightning under it (?showing that it was charging). Even after charging it overnight, unable to start it. Then used "c-squid from Amazon" which is supposed to be able to charge better. Did a better job in that I am now able to go beyond the red battery stage and it goes to the home page, but does not fully charge. I did replace the battery, but it is still not charging fully. It did however, for the first time, say that I should connect to i-tunes. Now the phone does get recognized on the computer, but the charge does not last long enough to get formatted. Did read somewhere to try and change the dock port, so will try that next. Any other thoughts? |
