d500 cable - GSM-Forum

i bought a cable from i-phone but when i try to connect to winimei for the samsung d500 i get no response. what could be the problem. it is a serial cable with the 9v connector. i tried it on 2 different computers and i got no response. the phone will not enter into tat mode. what can i do now?

Connect OFF phone to cable. When u press rd button just press the power on button of phone. U will immediately get the TAT mode on LCD with blue background.
IF direct unlock fails - read and enter the codes manually.

i tried powering down the phone and pressing the button as you directed but the phone just powers on as normally would. any other ideas. ??????

Check your cable, connect on COM 1. Power off yourphone then try again.

i have tried all the recommendations but still no luk. i am thinking it a problem with the cable.the manufacturers say it works with agere and tst software. do they carry the same pinout

Take your old A200 cable.
Find Tx Rx GND leads of that cable.

NOW find / search correct pinouts of D500 from this forum.

Connect as per the pinouts.
