Member: 239895 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Helo everyone, Please help i am as my name suggests, i tried to put a new lcd in my d500 and somehow failed. the lcd works fine but i have no backlight could someone please give me some ideas as to what is the likely broblem. Thanks in advance. |

Member: 239895 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Please anyone out there can you give me some ideas i have resoldered the screen and unplugged and re plugged the ribbon cable same problem no lcd backlight .... is it possible there is a problem with the screen ?? or does the fact that the desplay works meen the screen is ok?? |

Member: 239895 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | in answer to my question the screen workes fine after i removed the solder that was bridging the 2 connecting points i put too much solder on. so for any othe damstupids out there if your backlight is not working after replacing a lcd check the point you have to solder and make sure both sides are attatched seperately . Hope this helps, thanks to simzmobiles for pointing me in the right direction. |
