Screwriver to dismantle phone???

Someone gave me this phone, and all that was wrong was it needed a new glass. I fix laptops and thought I could do it myself – dismantled it carefully and now it doesn't work at all. Only thing I can think I’ve damaged might be the ribbon cable, though it looks OK. BUT that’s not my main problem – where do you get screwdrivers to take the “inner” screws out???

I mean the 6 under the circuit board. Without removing them I can’t get to the other end of the ribbon cable… I bought this cheap set of “watchmaker’s” screwdrivers off eBay, but the end immediately chewed off the driver when I tried to undo one of the screws… utter crap.

Any help much appreciated.

Errmmm… might it be anything other than the ribbon cable?

Thanks!

Use a thin philips screwdriver , it oughtta do

If you got busted screws you should use a dremel drill to remove it.

Yeah... I know. None of mine is small enough, and the watchmaker type just broke. They seem VERY tight! But update - I found I was shorting the ribbon cable when I closed the phone, fixed that so now I don't have to take it apart that far anyway... phew...

All I need to know now is what kind of glue to use when fitting my new screen lens thingy!

Sounds good... where do you get it? And... is there a little air vent somewhere (to stop condensation) which the dust gets in through?

Thanks everybody for your help!
