Member: 266857 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | My phone is a SGH-V804SS (JP) Chinese firmware has been uploaded ok -> the only problem I'm having is that with the new firmware the phone will not connect to Samsung PC Studio. The phones internal modem seems to respond OK. ATQ0V1E0 - OK AT+GMM - SGH-V804 AT+FCLASS=? - +FCLASS: 0 ATI1 - Manufacturer: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CORPORATION Model: SGH-V804 Revision: V804GSMCN IMEI: 35832*********** +GCAP: +CGSM,+DS,+ES FYI - IMEI & BT needed to be registered again. Process followed: 1) Run FastMultiLoader v3.22 2) Select Bootchange - boot file -> boot file download / Ok (Tuscani d/l) 3) Seclect Modem/Rsrc1/Rsrc2/FactoryFS -> Download / OK 4) Phone reboots - creats filesystem etc.. boots ok 5) Set IMEI # / Set BT Mac address 6) SMS ok but I don't have settings for Voda Japan for MMS (and hints/links) 7) Phone seems Ok - except for USB or BT connectivity to PC Studio. 8) Phone response / graphics feel much better than Vodafone original. Has anyone had a similar experience ? Are there other firmwares packages I could try? thanks, mesd/ |

Member: 266857 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | You really should do a search - its on the forum - but here you go PUT THIS CODE*#123580# 1º PRESS BUTON 9, THEN 6 FINALLY 2 TO SELECT QUALCOMM USB 2º RESTART PHONE WITHOUT SIM, PLUG CABLE, SELECT DRIVERS IN THE ATTACH AND RUN THE PROGRAM IN THIS ATTACH www.megaupload.com/?d=9RHFOZM1 (not sure if this still works - if not get yourself nsdongle from another source) 3º SELECT YOUR PHONE MODEL (Z540) AND USB DOOR AND PUT YOUR IMEI 4º DONE! NOW YOU JUST NEED TO PUT YOUR PHONE AS IT WAS...PUT THIS CODE*#123580#; PRESS BUTON 9, THEN 6 FINALLY 1 TO SELECT SAMSUNG USB In my case after I set the Qualcomm USB the phone had to be powered off but connected to usb (phone says charging) for nsdongle to work and upload the imei number. Back to my problem - anybody got the phone to sync correctly with PC Sync after the upgrade? |

Member: 266857 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | The files uploaded by Mickey Mouse here are the ones which finally worked well for me. They have converted my V804SS to a full fledged Z540 - everything seems to be working fine. You should note that with the Chinese version the modem responds to the AT commands: ATQ0V1E0 - OK AT+GMM - SGH-V804 ATI1 - Manufacturer: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CORPORATION Model: SGH-V804 Revision: V804GSMCN IMEI: 35832*********** +GCAP: +CGSM,+DS,+ES The modem seems to have the V804 string, but after upgrading with the Singapore version supplied above the modem now responds as follows: ATQ0V1E0 - OK AT+GMM - SGH-Z540 ATI1 - Manufacturer: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CORPORATION Model: SGH-Z540 Revision: Z540DZFE1 IMEI: 35832********** +GCAP: +CGSM,+DS,+ES The string is now SGH-Z540 & now the phone is syncing back to the PC. |
