2- Phone will display "Auto Subset Lock: Activated!"
3- Enter code *7465625*28638# without a sim again
3- Phone will display "Auto Network Lock: Activated!"
4- Now insert the sim and enjoy! Phone is Unlocked!

Tryed...not work the same

Is posible to be my Z500 phone damaged?

I have just bought the Samsung Z500V and it was locked, I tried to unlock with what I thought were the right codes and it all the phone is saying "Phone freeze, sim unavailable, please enquiry to service provider" My service provider has told me there is nothing they can do, and that the phone is totally locked, and that I may aswell throw it away. Surely this is not the case? Is there anything at all I Can do?? Please help? I live in Barbados, and bought the phone from Vodafone in the UK.

Thanx Reefer for your splendid step by step guide!
Got this Z500V from a friend with network lock to keep.
Visited the local shop to unlock but they could not help me so I started searching through forums until I stumbled in here.
Total noob as I am with phones I managed to unlock it thanx to you guys.

btw; I used a little metal strap we use in the Netherlands to seal our garbage-bags. Shorted 2 & 3 with it.

I found this in another thread. All credits for the solution to Morfeus of the FuriousTeam!

I myself haven't got a locked Z500 so i cannot try this. But other people confirmed this as working. I'd like to hear more results on this!

I also found a list of service codes. I guess you could use some of them to enter your unlock codes manually(that you read out with WinIMEI).

How do you do the pin out for a Z500 with phone freeze on a lap top?
The com port at the back of mine has 15 "holes" as opposed to the 9 on the diagram. I have tried with the obvious 2 and 3 but to no avail, am I going to have to try on a normal computer?

Why WINIMEI say at startup: Can`t open COM1 ! ?

CDMA phone on port 5. PC studio find phone and make backup media.

Your "comport" is probably the vga-output for your laptop.

just use the program in this thread and it will sort your phone out in seconds
