how to correctly flash f480 with multiloader
 

hi! i have a problem with my f480 and i flash it with multiloader 5.56 and F480XXHD9 firmware the flash finish successfully and i can do everything with my phone without sim card. Now if i turn it off and still turn it on this message appears "DEMSBL BOOT Loader for MSM6280 Downloader Ver 5.32" i reflash it the flash finish with success but if i return it off to put sim card the same message appears. Pls help me how can i do?:confused:

try reflash in gsm box.....

Multiloader also works nice...tried with several phones

Procedure to do flashing for F480:


First you need to download the firmware you want and then Multiloader V5.33(there is a newer multiloader out plz search)

GUIDE: How to flash your F480 Tocco

Downloading the software:

First off you need to download the firmware you want and then Multiloader V5.33 which is the program you're going to be using to flash your phone.

Make sure you remember where you've put these files as you'll need to browse to them when using multiloader.

Preparing your phone:

I am assuming here that you've already installed Samsung PC Studio and it works fine with your supplied USB cable.

NOTE: Flashing your phone will delete all your contacts, calender, settings ringtones etc.

You probably want to back up all your files and contacts. I recommend syncing your contacts etc. with Samsung PC Studio and copying over your files on your phone to your memory card or PC (your memory card will not be touched).

Once that's done remove any memory card you may have and then remove the SIM card. Put the battery back in. Your phone should be off at this point. Hold down the 'Volume down' key (The bottom rocker button on the left side of your phone) and the camera button and press the power on button. Your phone should start up into a wierd screen with downloader v.5.32 or something and some boxes. It's now ready to be flashed.





Using Multiloader:

Open multiloader. It should look something like this without all the settings selected (The middle section should be blank!):

Then press the AMSS button on the left side and browse to the firmware files you want to flash (unzip/rar them as necessary). Go to the binary folder and then select amss_compressed. Congratulations on flashing your phone. You can now replace your SIM and Memory card and set up your phone the way you like it.

I'm sorry but I couldn't add any screenshots to the above post so I hope it makes sense.

It was a long while ago when I did this so I'm not even sure the links will work either but maybe you google some of the link names i.e. multiloader v5.33.

Oh may I add I do think you need to use multiloader v5.33 and NOT v5.56 - well I would just to be sure I'm using the right one, i don't know - just a thought!!
