hi there any way of reseting the privacy code to default on the z140v many thanks

Have you tried the reset codes? *2767*2878# or *2767*3855# with the last code make sure phone is not powered off until the reset power's it off it's self - if you power off during reset you can kill the phone.

many thanks @mobilextreme worked a treat used *2767*3855# then re unlocked handset regards
