Z500DTEJ3 Unbranded Mod by Me - GSM-Forum

If anyone wants it here's the modified version of Z500DTEJ3 I made to be unbranded.

The DTEJ3 is the only firmware that allows for FULLSCREEN wallpapers, any 176*220 picture on your phone can be set as your background! Much easier then the vodafone firmwares themes.

Here are the changes that I made to the original DTEJ3:

- Rsrc2 file replaced with that of Rexnet v3.3 FW - Startup and shutdown animations now normal samsung ones.

- All Videos, Images, Ringtones (except 1, Ring.mmf) and Games deleted.
- Photo Frames and clipart still remain however, I doubt they bother anyone anyway Smiley.

- 'PshRsrcBmpIdle.rbm' in Rsrc_Z500_Optus.cnt > Rsrc >Bmp >Blue, replaced with that of Rexnet v3.3 FW.

- 'ProtoAccount.ini' in Rsrc_Z500_Optus.cnt > Settings >PreConfiguration >Default >Registry, replaced with that of Rexnet v3.3 FW. (This removes the predefined Internet & MMS profiles).

- Hex edit of nv_psh.cfg in Rsrc_Z500_Optus.cnt - removal of startup messages, restore samsung homepage and changed all ringtone references to Ring.mmf (the 1 remaining predefined ringtone).

- Hex Edit of nv_system.cfg in Rsrc_Z500_Optus.cnt - replacement of any ringtone references with Ring.mmf.

I've tested it for a 2 days and it seems perfectly fine, MMS, Internet, Calls all working perfect.
If anyone wants any of the predefined stuff that I've deleted, i.e. ringtones or images you can get them here:
