Nokia 6265i - HELP Desperately Needed I have a Nokia 6265i phone that I need to use with MetroPCS (San Jose, CA USA). :confused:I have all the codes for MetroPCS, I just need to get this phone to take them. We have tried to put in the service programming code - all I get is code error. I sent it to Nokia to fix. They charged me $58.00 :mad:and it still gets the same error. They don't even know who it was coded to, but won't change it....even after they charged me and I sent it to them twice! I am sooooo frustrated. The box has MEXICO on it and when I call 611, I get one moment please.....onemoment please...then it disconnects. Can anyone help??? I am beyond frustrasted at this point. I have a duplicate phone that is Metro (my granddaughter made it swim so it has no back light, but if I get it in the right light I can see it to look anything needed up ????? - Like I said ....I AM DESPERATE. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.:) Kathie |
This is the final answer for this problem. I have seen this problem many times and i have the final answer. I will give you all the reason why this happens and the very easy fix to fix it. The story: Back in the old days metro pcs never used the universal code of "587846" for programming of the phones; just like sprint they had very specific codes for each esn. This is the same case for these older model metro phones. The answer: Get a metro spc code calculator and enter the esn that is shown in the *3001#12345#. If you cant get a code calculator you can contact me with the phone's esn and i will send the the code it needs. |
