Member: 536301 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I'm trying to flash a U700, but I don't have a UST cable with the same connector type - it's the (less) slim samsung connector with a black ring of plastic around the tip of the male end. I tried to use an adapter with the two slim type cables I have, here's what happens: with the D800 cable I hit flash, put the U700 into DM and plug the RJ45 end in to UST which causes it to close immediately. After that, UST won't start (no smartcard found error) until I reboot. With the V804 cable I hit flash, put the U700 into DM and plug the RJ45 and USB ends in, click OK at "put phone in DM" message and UST says "no UMTS device found". Can anyone recommend where to buy the right cable for flashing U700? |

Member: 536301 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Thanks siroya, it's detected on com9 with the regular usb cable - but after some seconds UST says ERR_UNKNOWN_ACK and aborts the flash. These are pre-release U700s, don't know if that makes a difference. UST com is 11 and handset modem com is 9. Any ideas? |

Member: 536301 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I tried flashing these U700s again after clearing all my modems - UST on com7, U700 modem is com5. Using v5.60, format ffs is ticked. Without fail, UST says: Searching for UMTS phone... Phone detected! : COM5 ERR_UNKNOWN_ACK Elapsed Time (00:16) Skimming posts here it looks like some people have successfully flashed the U700 - any tips / tricks to share¿? |
