D900 unlock MSL problem - GSM-Forum

hi.after unlock msl and change imei,network signal is very weak and unable to make calls.i tried eprom write,then signal is ok.i also tried erasing eprom+mcu and then flashing the phone and all goes ok.but after unlocking msl network signal again weak and unable to make calls.how to solve this problem?

If you change imie successfuly then only complete flash not use erasing option.......

thats what i did,but after this network signal was very weak.signal is ok only after writing eprom but eprom file contains different imei.maybe its a bug in unlock msl function cause 5 phones have same problem now.

again,there are serious network signal problems on d900 and e900 models after unlocking msl and rebuilding imei.signal is very weak and unable to make calls.tested on 9 phones(5 D900-4 E900).any ideas?

did u try writing eeprom?

yes,after writing eprom all is ok for D900,but imei changes to the one which is included in eprom file.when i change to original imei or any desired emei again signal problem.

i can surely say that unlock msl function is buggy on D900 and needs to be fixed,tested on 25 phones in 10 days,all brand new phones.please we need quick fix about this problem.

i have tried to change imei on 2 d900s and when you press key 3 it works 2 and vice versa
same with key 5 n 6 they work vice versa
also the network is very weak
as well can any one help with that
much appreciated

not only the 5 & 6 keys but also 3 & 4keys work vice versa... please siroya or anyother, a soluton for this please... hope will fix this bug asap...

Hi Guys,

I'd experience some D900 key pad no. 2&3, 5&6 after unlock MSL but i did do *2787*3855# and everything works fine, about the imei change automaticly during unlocking MSL, just rebuild imei, my one works.

Another case is a E900 imei change as well during unloking MSL. I used the D800 cable but still same but i change to use V804 cable it works for me.

I key in the original imei first then i unlock MSL after that rebuild imei.
