| 2 Sony Vaio FW Laptops Hello everyone. So I have 2 Sony Vaio FW series laptops. Both with ATI HD series graphic cards. One works perfectly while the other just doesn't boot up. No display. No beeps. No codes. I've tried 2 different working, compatible processors and memory sticks, but to no avail. Error remains the same. Therefore I believe it becomes obvious the motherboard is at fault here. Most probably the graphics chip, but since this is an ATI chip, I cant be sure of it being faulty. I need your advice, suggestions, basically any kind of help that could enable me to repair this motherboard. I have yet to attempt a reflow or reprogram/switch the bios. I can also post high resolution pictures of the pcb layout, so please do not hesitate in asking for them. Thank you. |
