Cellphone Charging Question

i have heard from many people that turn ur cell off before charging, i want to know is there any logic behind this action? if we turn off cell and then charge will it charge it more efficiently? or is this false statement.?
can someone give me scientific logic? thanx

Hey

It's something to know about batteries !

More you charge your battery , more you kill it !
More the power of charge is high, quicker the battery dies !

So if you charge your battery with the phone turned off
it'll be charged quicker because of no other consumption !

But if you charge your phone while it's working, even while making calls and etc ...
You'll just make a low power charge that 'll be best for the batterys life
though the charging time 'll be longer !

Jacks i totally agree with u, people have miss conception about it, i heard from many people who claim that its always better to charge battery while u turn it off, but my personal opinion was totally opposite to it, thats y i raised this question in board, thanx for ur reply, if someone else have any idea about this topic please let us know.

I think that if you want to miss an important call - just turn your phone off while charging phone's battery
The batteries are not too expensive anyway
