DI 27/28 infrared modem
 

Picked up one of these cheap, condition unknown. Worked OK with Ericsson Comm Suite but had to put infrared about 3cm from laptop. Program's seems painfully slow, though.

Anybody know if this is normal, closeup and slow?

I've also got an Mbus cable (unlocking) - anyone know of a way to use this for data comm?

Tip: If you want to test an infrared transmitter, point it at your camcorder. You should see it light up behind its' window.
