You know Dell is $59 you can contact them HERE for expired warranty. More info HERE

By the way stating your Model number and service tag does help.
Basically this thread is old, not much help here except for a lot of forthcoming spam posts. ie if you really want to pay then just search Google on the private shady payment options.

Your number one (and cheapest) option is to always try Dell, unless of course its a stolen laptop since you accidentally (somehow!) lost your password! Oh sorry, or its your long lost passed father's laptop. Of which seems to be the number one lie I've heard.

You may see this is sensitive area when Dell have 100% confirmed they'll help outside warranty for minimal cost, even outside warranty! But keep trying maybe someone may post their outlandish extravagant high cost from Russia or something!

Hi EVERY ONE! I HAVE dell d505 with a SERVICE TAG #3JKQ71J-595B! ThIS LAP MIRACUROUSLY GOT LOCKED UP. PLEASE PEOPLE HELP ME TO GET THE BIOS PASS COZ NOW MY COMP IS USELESS! EVEN WHEN I REMOVE THE HARD DRIVE OUT THE PASSWORD IS STILL THERE! HLP ME. kalengella from Tanzania.
