Member: 2461 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 22 | How to reset my usb ports as its now upto 255 If I look in device manager and enable view hidden , I can see all my devices from 1 to 24 then the next ones are from 240 to 255 Im guessing its probably s/e & samsung fones etc that have assigned a new port everytime they were connected How can I reset / get rid of all these unused ports ? |

Member: 7653 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 823 | no need to get rid of them mate (it has been asked before, i think no one knows in any case). when you install a new USB device, it will tell you "virtual com 255" etc just right click this device, select properties and change its port number to a lower one. you can over write the old ports, as long as your not using them |
