How to start a cellphone unlocking business - GSM-Forum

am interested in starting a cellphone unlocking business but am unsure of how to start. I see software all over the internet, some free some not, some old and some just do'nt work. Are there any all in one or multi unlocking software on the market. What about hardware, see some unlocking hardware also what is better software or hardware or a combo of both.

i am also interested in starting an unlocking business but not sure wherer to start. i know that there are softwares to unlock but dont know where to get .and the hardware unlocking is too costly to buy so could you help me in letting me know which will be best for me .

1. Start a survey, see which phone is mostly used in your region and investigate which phones get problems
2. Prepare some money
3. Buy unlock/flash equipment
4. start unlocking and make money

you need to have backup phones on which trials can be made (try to flash your phones first b4 trying on client's phone) and yes, if various people unlock phone in your region, your price should be little cheaper than them

This business doesn't seem profitable but I think that just because there aren't many companies like this out there but if someone makes one successfully it could have a huge market.

Hi sugea,

My suggesstion is to start hardware work first and you need to learn it first from any certified education system. You need to have full knowledge of cell phone board daigrams and problem troubleshooting.

then you can easily go to software unlocking side.
