How to use Skype in Abu Dhabi? - GSM-Forum

Good evening,

it's rare to see me over here but, a friend of mine was moved to work in Abu Dhabi and can't call his family, girlfriend and so on...

Is there any reliable way to use this software?

I think AbuDahbi ISP blocked the skype.
If thats the reason then Expatshield will work for your friend.
Install the expatshield software and run it then use skype..

use anonim ip from germany for example u can find such progs in google

Use a proxy. ExpatShield as suggested above will work fine.

You can create a VPN (Virtual Private Network) or you can access Skype through a proxy.

Also, there are even Internet cafes that have the Skype application downloaded.

proxys and usa ip servers are also blocked in UAE.
