Here, my questions :1. What's the difference between an unlocked phone and a phone that has never been locked? 2. Is that possible for network operators to remotely lock (or ban) an unlocked phone? 3. Are there different classes of unlock codes that can partially or completely unlock a phone? 4. Do (Motorola) service centers know if the phone has ever been locked? (mods, I didn't know where to post this, it's very generic questions. if you move it please tell me where to look, thanks and sorry for posting here, I just saw the sticky )

Hi, 1. If you unlock it properly ( not partial flashing method) - no difference 2. No way. 3. They do what they suppose to do - unlock. Keep in mind, this is the least reliable way to unlock a phone. 4. What is Motorola ? ![]() BR

--> this is the least reliable way to unlock a phone. <-- Why? It's the method service providers use to remote unlock your phone. (ie if you are in Virgin Mobile and have used £25 top ups in total, you call Virgin Mobile and they give you the unlock code for free)
