Here in Latin America there's what is called "Non-Authenticables Phones". They're very cheap phones, and are used basically in prepaid service. I wonder if there's such a thing in GSM. I know that GSM Authenticacion depends on SIM card, but there could be technological limitations in the cell phone. Another question is if this process of authentication is customizable, i.e., if it can be disabled on the network or for certain phones (in HLR). Thanks in advance. CHEOPE SEI
