Member: 6546 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | This is a hard question to answer really, I am currently doing a degree in embedded systems (microcontroller, dsp, adc programming etc) but this does not cover the electronics engineering side that would be required for surface mount soldering etc. I doubt you would find a college course to fully cover your needs (not without doing several anyway), this leaves third party offerings such as the JIC course, which are pretty pricey and not officially recognised by employers. The third party courses are tailored to gsm knowledge though and are probably the best bet if you are looking to own and operate your own business. If you go the college route, an electronics engineering course would be best I think. But the best source of learning is right here, believe it or not. Behind the fighting and squabbling of some of the more well known members lies probably the most complete (and cheapest) source of knowledge you could ask for. Just keep searching and reading. |

Member: 164504 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 17 | yea i would agree with. Even though these forums have their little arguments and jokes. I am amazed at hw much I learnt from reading numerous threads. I mean, right now I am learning how to repair water-damaged phones and I'm gonna buy my 1st flash box at the end of the month! Thanks to the more senior members who have more experience, I have gained more confidence when repairing my phones. Thanks for the quick reply |

Member: 111845 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | You might also want to consider hiring an mobile phone engineer for a couple of days to give you some private tuition on there day evenings off sort of like driving lessons lol but im sure that would be better and more knoledgeable than the expensive jic courses |
