A trojan has been detected - GSM-Forum

Hello,
Anybody knows the best Antispy/virus to remove this Trojan: "New malware.m trojan" it infected the file c:\windows\sqlserv.exe

can anybody tell me how to remove this from my pc. i already hav mc cafe 2005 but cant remove it.

do u have sql server installed on ur pc?

go to the path of c:\windows\sqlserv.exe & check it's properties-->version-->company name.

maybe the file's not important to u. which windows u have?

I try to delete but it cannot be deleted......am using Xp sp1

deleteing a file is very easy, two ways to do this:

press ctrl+alt+del, task manager would open, go to processes, there if u find sqlserv.exe, click on it & then end process, then go to folder & delete file immidiately.
if still not able to delete, then follow these steps:
1.close all windows
2.on task manager u got above. end process of explorer.exe
3.then click on applications & then new task
4.type: cmd
5.on command prompt type: cd\
6.then type: cd windows/system
7. finally type: del sqlserv.exe

ur file get deleted, to resume windows, again clcik on new task, then browse to c:/windows/explorer.exe

kill sqlserv.exe or restart in safe mode and delete it. Then I'll give you F-Secure Client Security 6.0 you will be happy with it
