some questions about the use of dreambox,please answer me...

hi i got some questions i hope any moderator will answer me:

1) when using dreambox with testpoint i need to put the cable with the needless in the "service" port of the box?

2) when using test point i dont need to use the battery of the phone cause the red thing in the test point cable will power up the phone?

3) i am scared to destroy my box by linking the red thing of the test point cable to the wrong polarity of the battery,is there any tip u can give me to avoid such a big problem???

4)what exactly is "cutting a track"? i dont know how to perform such operation...

5) can u please explain me what is "boot core bug" and how to perform it?

6) what is this "small package capacitor for 150pF? i need to modify the tp cable but honestly i have some problems doing it?please any tip to perform it easily and quicky?

7) in the support page of boot-loader i dont understand which files have italian languange,is there a tutorial or a way to figure this out?


i guess this is enough for now,please be patient and answer me cause i need these answers!

4. That means you should cut track in the phone board.
5. In some old phones (like C55) there was a bug in phone's bootcore. Just try this mode for phone, if you can see in mode's list for it.

my problem with the 6 point is that i dunno what to buy.i should go to an electronic shop ans just ask for a "small package capacitor for 150pF"? but small package means that i have to buy more than one capacitor?

about the point 7,where can i read the help to the program? inside the program there is a tutorial that tells me the language packages of the different files?

About 6 point - now aalmoust all packages include capacitor. Anyway, you can buy already modified cable.

i finally was able to modify the probe with the button so i made all work but i am flashing the phone 4 times...the phone gets back to life but none of the firmwares i used had italian language!i used the dreambox manual and i saw that italian language is Text LG 1 but when i go to download the right firmware i cant tell which one is the file that contains italian language,can u please help me telling the right file i need to use? please BE SPECIFIC
