Yes, I'm sure. You can't damage your box in this way.

i was send email to dreambox tech aid support but i am didn't find the answer until now , thx for u'r good support

then the answer is, no problem with u'r box, so why me can't update, any other solution or mistaken that i 've done

If you cant update box, try to install eariler version of DBSS (3.2 for example), and try to update fw with it. Maybe there is a bug in sw.

If you cant find it PM me and i will send it to you.
