use a better tool or read info from phone, flash, then restore info, very easy for some, difficult for others who want everything easy.

white screen, restart phones, can be fixed by repair button right ?

there are instances wherein after unlock by other software CID is lost

choosing recover certificate restore CID right ?

on CID49 it is not possible but ... we flash erom, fs , sfa, complete phone instead ... then all previous features changed !!! that was what aaron was mentioning .

Anyway Andres said " flash it and make unlock"

easy eyhhh !

So that's it ,... all happy now : ) lol !

thats it.. some customers dont want phone unbranded. just unlocked.

some customers get mad when i tell them that i have to flash the phone because of a bug in the software.

some customers are in a hurry, i got several lined up waiting and it takes alot of time to flash a phone.

these phones arent brand new, they have pictures, downloaded ringtones, java games..

i havent found a way yet to remove a downloaded java game from a phone.

these cost money to the customer.

the phone im having problems with is W600 by cingular... some unlock just fine, some have to be flashed. it seems random and i cant know untill its too late. after i get that error message the phone doesnt turn on anymore.

once flashed you lose all CINGULAR firmware.. so this means, if they just wnat the phone unlocked to go on vacation with, they lose all settings and warranty.

this is a very big deal.

there is no cingular branded w600 firmware in support site.

i try to read phone firmware but it fail, everytime.

*phone-company* said it and i can only agree.

Important stuff needs to be backed-up befor doing anything.
(copy contacts from phone to sim is the #1 thing todo and very fast)
Ringtones and photos are easy enough to copy over for anyone, so the only thing left are the games.

So inform them BEFOR you do anything.
After all, you know that sometimes the failed unlock may need you to flash the whole phone (with the data being gone), and the customer dont...
