Hi,

For connection error problems just read this:

1. before unlocking operation, phone must be powered up with NOT ANY CABLE connected (using power from phone battery)
2. pay attention at repair cables (with pins 13-14 shorted), because if you power on phone with this kind of cable plugged in bottom of phone, it will be initialized (the phone) in another mode, and PC no more see Motorola Modem!
3. now connect phone to cable, and if you not have installed drivers yet, Win-XP will ask you for MOTOROLA MODEM DRIVER!
4. after you connected phone to PC, check in Control Panel if you have Motorola Modem
5. if you started phone in flash mode (by pressing *, #, PWR), this is NOT A SOLUTION! You will receive connection error at unlocking second step (when phone should be powered up in NORMAL mode, and connected to PC as a MODEM)

Try first to solve all this steps before make unlock!

If software fails at "Swithing to P2K mode ...":

1. check if you have installed Motorola Modem (from Control Panel)
2. check COM port number used by this modem driver
3. you could have some conflicts with other modems or another software who use COM ports, so is better to change the COM port number used by Motorola Modem to a FREE PORT HIGHER value (e.g. over COM 50, ...)
4. close any other tool who could try to connect to Motorola phone, like PST, RSD Lite, ...

If you will receive "Connect error" at second step (after software get PDS and ADR info), PLEASE READ AGAIN carfuly this text from beginning!
