Help needed with installing drivers and dongle not find problems - GSM-Forum

Hi, my USB-Smart just arrived this morning, but i am having dificulty in trying to get it to work. I have downloaded the 'Usbsmartmaintenece_v43", but cannot open the main file (says 'Dongle not find'), as i cant seem to be able to sort out the drivers (my computer recognises the usb smart dongle when i insert it ito the USB port, but the program i downloaded does not seem to regognise it). I tried to open the 'USB Smart system file' (found in the 'usbsmart_driver_v2' folder), but i haven't a clue as to which program it should be opened with.
Advice on any of these issues would be greatly appreciated.

I got the same problem as well... downloaded the Usb Smart Maintenance 4.3.
unzip it n plug the USB Smart in... detected n try installing it with the Driver come with Usb Smart Maintenance V4.3. It just wont regconise.
so is it theres a new driver?

I just tried doing the same thing at my other 2 PC.... both works fine.. one AMD & another one Intel... but this PC AMD doesnt work...
Somebody Help me...

Okay, i think ive sorted that problem. a slightly edited guide of how i did it is attached.

Now that i have installed the usb smart and updated the 'smart card', i have no idea of how to use the equipment to unlock phones. I have a 4in1 cable, and have inserted it inro the computer, but thats as far as i have got. The phone i am trying to unlock is a Sony k750i. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the guide. clear and simple guide.
But still it doesnt work for me.
i have tried
1) Install an internal pci 2.0 usb card - Failed
2) Use a 4 port usb hub - Failed
3) Plug to twister - Failed
4) Redownload the Maintanence 4.3 and unzip it and retry - Failed
5) Remove the driver/restart pc and try - It never install the driver, nothing to remove.

Anything else i can try again?

It want regconise the driver.

Im not too sure what else you could try, you could see if using a different USB port will work, as my usb smart dongle will only work in some of my computers usb ports. But other that i dont know what else you could do. Hopefully someone else might have some other ideas.
