Question BIG problems with 4-1 cable!

Hi

I bought 10pcs USB-Smart with 4-1 cable to sell here in Sweden. Then I bought another 5pcs there I kept one for my self. Now to the problem, 4 of my customers complained that their cable didnt work, I told them to bring me the cable, and one customer showed up with the cable. And when i used the damn cable it burned my motherboard, it started to smoke and my smokedetector went off BEEP BEEP. Then I bought another cable from my friend in Sweden and it works 100% with my NEW motherboard.

Can the quality be so diffrent from cable to cable?

Anyone else got a similar problem?
