Windows XP drives me crazy.... - GSM-Forum

Hi, I've tried to install mixed dongle in windows 98, all OK Lurker works perfect, also Evolver, but.....
In windows XP I can't install the dongle. When I plug it in the USB port (the same as in windows 98 and I've not inserted dongle in other ports!!! ) appears "Gentium USB token" , I try to install from location where driver is. It searches for few seconds and displays "Cannot install hardware". If I try to give him manually the INF file it says that location does not contain information about hardware.
I've also tried to uninstall ALL OF THE OTHER USB DEVICES but same error.

What the hack can I do to make my lurker work on XP?

sometimes it gives error on instalation if you use usb hubs....

check drivers .... or the fact that windows tells you that it isn't a signed driver ... click continue!!

man it always not find the driver in the driver folder not unsigned driver problem
like that driver not for this usb dongle

Me too have this problems with wray dongle MIX . . i mean Evolver + Lurker

In win98se instalation of driver its OK . . . but in winXP have pb . .

We hope @Wary give solution for this pb !!!

each time we ask about this driver all say read user manual
i readed it many times and nothing new
if it is problem with one user so it is his fault but most of the user face from this problem
