How to find the right compoment(rookie question)

I think that we have to do a nice quide about it

i dont know if iam in the right place in forums.Moderators may move it to the right place.

so
am a bit new in GSM repairing. Some phones i have tried to repair i did more damage than expected. For example when i replaced POWER IC some components
were desolder and i couldnt find them.

After that The phone was never power

After doing reasearch the only way i could find lost componts(smd capacitors and resistors was from an another broken phone.

I compared the values with the help of the diagrams and i took of the one i lost due to high temperature of hot air.I replaced them but the phone didnt power on.The values were ok.

My question is.Finding the right one be comparing just values from another diagram can be the right way? or its something more than values and numbers?

for example if we want a capacitor 100n with code C3321
and we find a capacitor 100n with code C7641 on another diagram will work the same as C3321?

Sorry for this silly question but i need some light for my mind to continue my work..

yeap , only value is important . parts codes may differ in various schematics .
main thing is d value . anyway u may search on this great forum or in google for repair videos . lots of videos here u can check them . how to use hot air gun ? how to rework ?

u must practice on dead scrap boards to improve ur rework skill .
