which is the best Hardware Equipments to masure short bord or dead set or
bb5 handset problem?can we must have an oscilloscope for best repair?

Well as far as i know, the oscilloscope is use to measuing the radio wavelength in any electronic gadget... for mobile you can use for measuring TX and RX ( Radio Frequency).. not to detect or repair dead set..

for me it is not worth

i dont think so that .........and u must spend big time to find the fult and there is no schamtic digram for all phones ..............

oscilloscope can only find faults in signal frequency....and it also depends on how high the capacity of your oscilloscope can read those frequency...

in some cases it could also help for no power, for example; measuring the flow of frequency in crystal clock.......

man, do you guys ever use an 'scope?

scope will be useful for checking clock signals and other control line on board. these frequency max 26MHz.

you wanna measure RF with an 'scope? hehehe need 1900MHz scope for gsm only.

UMTS much faster, for this, dont use a scope!!

Multimeter is best tool i use in gsm enginering .

good to see if we have people whit some skills and knowledge in eletronic hardware here in the forum but yes frequency osciloscope dont help very much in our work today at 8 years ago i used very much it whit radio and tv but today i heven touch it congratulations friends this tread show we have people whit quality work in gsm market

Yes oscilloscope is one of the necessary tools in any electronic repair.

If you know the correct frequency reading on a certain circuit in board, you can use it as fault finder.

or better if you have a working board then you can compare.

i thing the correct frequency given in original manuals also.

can u pls explain that what is the uses of frequency counter ,CW generator

for high frequency radio values you must use spectrum analyzer to check waveforms.
Oscilloscope is for non radio factors same as oscillators wave form and pwm signals and clocks or datas or for high speed or small lenght and low time values mesurment.
oscilloscopes are available in large range of frequncies but its high frequncies is not same as spectrum analyzer for rf measurment.
