Osciloscope if you work only with them no give result.but with nowledge of electronique and ather instrument as frequency meter frequency generator ohmeter and scematec give a best result.

Another very useful multimeter model i found is Uni-T 70B it can measure frequencies upto 400MHz!!!! besides voltages, current, resistance, temperature and capacitance!!! The model is UT-70B. Check out the specifications online. Unbelievable value for money! All for under USD 85 on different websites. The manufacturer is Uni-Trend Group. Their products are decent and good value for money.

If you like to play is nice to have everything but if you want to be efficient in this job first and first you need brain and a lot of experience. This make the difference!

scope has many uses, but when u want to use for mobile, u should have test points 4 u to measure, and diagram which we dont get !. so how will u use? rf frequency u can . we have a very limited area here.

Normally its used for testing RTC,Crystal Clocks...we have no time to check this components using Oscilloscope...just replace this part is Best !! But i know Professional Service center using this with a Good knowledge !

I don't think that oscilloscope will much of a help for technician if they aren't the certified service center . Because most of the chip have some wave frequencies corresponding to its microchips. also microchip have so many manufacturer so meaning you have to find all the frequencies in all the components inside your unit. WTF man .............

This is how we separate the good and the noobs or the wanna be tech.. its all knowledge and a whole lot of patients man. They say experience is your best teacher.............
