Member: 1873863 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 67 | Tornado good for GSM components ? It is years that i dreaming about IRDA rework stations to solder components, but costs was Always too high (see ayoue). I never used an irda for small components as bga chips and capacitors or other components on a phone/gsm board, but i use a Scotle 9000 for the big jobs, so i know the advantages of the irda vs hot air. But ... with hot air i can heat only the damaged chip without touching the Others. With a Tornado Infra for example, the risk is to heat too much components so maybe by removing one chip, i damage the balls on another one... or not ? It looks good to replace connectors, but don't know how it work with other fragile chips like wifi module on iphone4S, or cpu, and so.. What is your experience ? It is better to continue using hot air or trying this device ? thanks |
