Red Box Team!!!,.....unlocking u8120 seems impossible - GSM-Forum

Hey there.////

since i have bought the redbox.....i couldnt unlock any lg phone...although i bought this box just to unlock them......the first phone is LG U8120, a 3g phone....i tried everything to unlock it, but it didnt work...i tried the 7050 cable and the 8110 cable with both programs ( LG total Commander and LG 3g Commander) and its always the same(Unlocking ok but its not unlocked)......so what i think is... unlocking this phone on this box is impossible , isnt it>????

the 2nd phone is L342i....i tried also to unlock it...but the same problem@!! its not unlocked....

PLZ help me....if u can, give me the full instructions of how to unlock an lg phone...or tell me wt the hell is wrong....i really need to unlock them...

Notes:1- i tried to reset the phone before unlocking it
2- i have 4 phones of the U8120 Model and its the same problem

yes after flashing it will b unlocked ! but for Lg 3g models remember one thing ! battery shall b fully charged ! It takes long time for flashing ! and only way is for unlocking most LG 3g phones is downgrade then unlock ! But first u write here what version of 8120 u want to unlock !

No need to flash you have to read the codes and enter them manually in the phone with simcard, if you look well at what the program said you you will understand: http://www.sws-redbox.com/f_lg.html

READ CODES??!!! i tried 3425485240945827 times to do direct unlock and the codes methods...and it didnt work!! ///

now am heading for the flashing solution....i'll see what happenes and i will post the result

if you have a dead phone after flashing don't cry that redbox kill LG 8120. BTW tell me did you tried to tape 2945#*88110# with non accepted sim card inside the phone and seen what the phone shows you?
PS: no matter if you don't see what you tape on the keypad, just complete the sequence

yeah i tried...it shows me sth...in a language that i dont know what the hell its....but anyway i tried to click ok...then comes another menu...then another ok....and then a msg ends with USIM 3

ok first of all read the codes with redbox and pay attention to NCK code because you will need it to enter in phone.
Second, you tell me after taping 2945..... you see something in a language you don't understand, is this "sbolocco rete"? if it is just press OK and tape, when it asks to wrtite something, the NCK code given by redbox and then power off the phone and power it on again.
If it didn't help you so you have to try even 100 times and use search button on this forum to understand how to unlock LG 3G phones.

its not giving me any space to write the NCK,,,what i mean is ....when i write this 2945 thing...it gives me a menu with one choice....and i click on it...after this comes the same(a menu with one choice) then i press ok and a msg appears...it ends with USIM3

so what other methods u know to unlock the 3g?

and do u recommend me to not flash the phone? or should i try it?

maybe first you should set fone to language you understand, Then you could read the menu. If you getting menu by typing in 2945 etc then you are halfway there. But you'll never know what the problem is if you dont say exactly what the menu says because it could be saying USIM not locked or USIM locked. As I said either set phone language to one you understand or tell us exactly what is written. You shouldnt need to flash as usually its so easy to unlock 8110,8120,8130.
