k800i unlock - quick question please - dont want to press the wrong button :-) - GSM-Forum

Hi All,

i am about to unlock a k800i. I have purchased my credits and have read phone. I then get the following pop up:

I do not want to flash the phone, simply unlock it. It looks like i have no choice but to update EROM/ So what should i choose at this stage:

so again if someone could advise which option i should choose above so that i can unlock my phone i would be most grateful. I don't want to break this phone as it belongs to my sister he he

Lastly the read out does mention that my software version is not supported for unlock. Seee complete readout below:

If any kind sole can give me some steps on what i need to do to unlock this k800i, i would be most grateful.

4 days and still no help. I have also PM'ed product supporter but no response also.

How unexpected and frustrating.

well in the absence of any support - i have successfully killed my sisters phone.

I clicked yes for R3A022 - this said done then phone was dead (just blinked)

Flashed latest software main and FS. - Now phone will not power on at all.

What can i say - possiblely the worst support i have ever come across. I dont have much to do with the unlocking world these days but have done so in the past. Never experienced such a poor support function.

Hugely dissapointed that this support section can exist. Maybe should ask admins to move it to "no longer supported" section.

Off to ebay now to buy my sister a replacement K800i.

This is file you needed as software said Firmware not supported for patch unlocking
What version di you flash phone with now?

U had very old EROM, this EROM was like ticking bomb, phone can self destroy in any time any day. So I'm sure that phone did "sepuku" while update EROM or (what can be funny for U) UR battery is empty.
First please check with second battery(if possible) and if still not works then for repair EROM U need RS232(COM) Cable, because when something is broken in EROM USB procedures are do no Initialize, that's why phone do not communicate now on USB.
