don t use repair pds with v980,v975... - GSM-Forum

i always get problems after repairing pds !! last one is with 2 pieces v980 & v975 after repair directions keys not work and external display don t work !!!and i m not able anymore to do any action except using TP

hope this will help and bug will be solved !

for sure i did with TP but nothing change !! anyway problem solved again using smart clip and btw don't use GOT for unlock rainbow pog too !

1.- TP and Repair PDS with GOT
-------------------------------

Establish connection to handset
FLASH Interface established ok
Bootcore version on handset: 0310
Sending RAMDLD to handset
RAMDLD started ok in handset
Read Flash chip type and ID
Flash chip ID detected: 0x00898810
Write PDS zone on flash chip
Rebuild PDS checksums on handset
Write Bootcore zone on flash chip
Power down handset
Rebuild PDS procedure completed ok

2.- Unlock with USB-Smart
--------------------------
Then with USB-Smart select V975 an make "unlock" with "Use TP" to downgrade bootloader to 5.F.1. Disconnect the phone when the bootloader 6.3.1 (?) has been downgraded to 5.F.1. Thats all.

Phone it's working againg.

1-doing repair pds with TP using got will lead to joyestik and external problem!! so better don t do it
2-when you use TP to unlock v975 bootloader will not be changed !!! its changed only on normal way but after doing pds using GOT it will be impossible to unlock again normally
3-simply the solution is smart-clip that will repair pds and downgrade bootloader automaticly
