v3i getting started

I've been using GOT MOTO tool for the past day and want to make sure I am doing everything correctly.

I originally have v3i r47a itunes. This is what I am doing:

1. With GOT MOTO, select v3i r47a and click on Repair tab
2. Click blank pds
3. Click repair pds
4. Restore r47a GOT backup from SureGOT
5. Load backup made with Flash&Backup with Flash&Backup

After step 4, i have a working phone, but when I try to load my original backup that I made with Flash&Backup, I get a Critical Error 84.

I've tried a few other phone types, such as R4441D, and only avoid this Critical Error 84 if I first do this patch to them, and load it with the GOT MOTO tool. Am I doing everything correctly? Will I be able to flash any other MPs once my GOT tool expires?
