V195: using SmartSim to solve BT problem during unlock Since nobody in this forum could help me to resolve the problem of very weak BT signal after GOT unlock (V195: very weak BT signal after GOT unlock and 00AB_0001 fix), I tried to use a different method of unlocking V195. I bought an i-SmartSim 2008 (for $7.26) http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12167 I put it in my V195 locked to T-mobile and use an AT&T sim. So far no problems at all. The BT works fine. It works for V195. Don't know if it works on other phones, but there is a manufacturer list of compatible phones.

GOT maybe a great tool for phones other than V195(s) but I ended up with 4x V195(s) phones with dead BT after paying for and using GOT. So it looks like the solution in this post maybe a better (and cheaper) alternative for at least V195(s).

in fact there is a really really easy way to solve that... I wonder none of you guys managed to find that through online research. It is to edit the SEEM to change the bluetooth address from FFFFFFFF to some real bluetooth address, you can find the original address on the phone packaging. Just connect it with your cable and use a SEEM editor to do that.
