W300i unlock failure

I have a W300i cid49 red that is not unlocking. It gives error message "Failure code 1973178" . What does this mean, and how do I fix it?

I had this same problem. I attempted twelve to fif**** times to unlock and flash the phone with no good result. At last attempt I fully charged five batteries. Every time it requested I remove the cable and battery I replaced the partially used battery with a fresh battery. This resulted in a successful unlock and flash.

I've found that 897E flash chip is very sensitive to current/voltage from the battery. The 2019 is much easier to deal with.

I've two 897E handsets that I was lucky to unlock, I had SEMC read the unlock codes and I manually entered them. I won't attempt to flash them. At every "trying to power on" I had to manually power on the handset and frequently had errors. With the 2019 handsets they came on by themselves.

If someone has a better understanding of the various flash chips in these handsets and would like to share their wisdom and knowledge I'd be glad to read it.
