adding video ram to DV6000 / DV9000

Could it be possible to add more video ram to HP DV6000 / DV9000 by changing the following pairs of resistors:
R133-R102 (RAM_CFG0)
R620-R621 (RAM_CFG1)
R132-R104 (RAM_CFG2)
R101-R103 (RAM_CFG3)
?
They define 4 bits that are interpretted like this:

As long as the correct componets are used, you should be able to increase memory. Also requires a discrete GPU is used. Wont work with 6150/7150

Anyone know if AMD/ATI Radeon parts 216-0674022 0674024 0674026 are interchangeable?
The 216-0674026 is easier to find in new late date codes.

They are interchangeable to higher number - 022 to 026, 024 to 026.

yes, you can but only g86-770-a2 or 7600-a2 chipsets needed. otherwise you need to write a new bios. in the reason its hard to be possible

New question

Anyone familar with KB3926QF

Seems there is a code after the part number. ie A1, C0, D2

Do these codes matter? I tried replacing a Code C0 with a code A1 and had issues.

Anyone have a datasheet on this controller chip? Used on a lot of motherboards.

I couldn't find a datasheet for directly for chips. But I believe you can find datasheets on motherboard schematics.

Nevertheless it matters cuz they're different chips. I tried before they're not interchangeable (just for ene)
Winbonds 773ldg and 775ldg are interchangeable(773 may not be ldg; but I know 773 and 775 are interchangeable for winbond).

Good luck...

I can confirm that the codes do matter. If you are replacing this chip. Use the same code

I never had an issue with expired solder. Some of my solder balls are 3+ years old and they work fine. I do keep them in a sealed container. I think the flux is more important not to be too old. Metal stays metal, as long as it doesn't oxidize, but the chemicals in flux change over time.
