There are diffrence between deal with sockets mounted in the bottom or the top pcb and others in the middle or srounding with some compontents specailly if these were glued or underfilled.

for this you should do the following steps

1-should strictly cover all glued component around the desired part
with reflective tape

2-should apply extra solder to sockets pins on board becasue during remove the damged part some of the solder been taken with the socket legs

3-should use good flux to let the solder well melt with the new socket

4-should not start cooling after you turn the upper heater directly but you can somthly assure the jionts by a gentle touch from the tweezer to the socket .

thanks

hello

i covered all of the bottom pcb with reflective tape, but i didnt cover the top board,it was samsung d500,i also checked the socket under the microscope, all seems ok,so is it ok to cover all the componnents at the bottom and at top? ru saying when in park mode, do not turn the cooling fan on?is it generally safe then if u dont exceed 180 deg,as long as glued,or most componnents r covered, thnx for the tips rahheb and balu dark.
