Is it possible to unlock by clip only?

yup, tried the reset as well, didnt work
maybe its because its a windows mobile phone

where is this phone from? which provider ? are you making sure the phone is completely started before plugging in the clip ?

its a rogers canada phone
i've tried it when its completely started and i've tried it before and during start.

i just got a ROGERS samsung jack and unlocked it... turned it on and as soon as it finished loading i plugged in the clip with the E210 cable.. both LEDS light up then they started to flash RED BLUE RED BLUE one at a time then they both went OFF and the phone was unlocked... i'm not sure what it is that you're doing wrong or maybe cable problem

Is there a way to put i616 in qualcomm mode and unlock through PC rather than using the clip?

no not possible...

i616 is omap based and not qualcomm
