flash gd88 with gd87, after that, crc error and dead - GSM-Forum

hi, i flash this gd88 with gd87 flash and winmodo, the erasing was okay, the writing was also okay, but after that it perform crc check, and displaying crc error, download failed, the phone dead, what was wrong ?

u didnt press BOOT!
just reflash pressing boot ur phone will work

hey u have done a big mistake now u have to change the FLASH IC of ur phone or there are chances that ur phone may become unusable......

huh ? never done this flashing before, what boot should i press ? i already press the boot and flash again, but problem still same ... change the flash ic ? is it the big NEC chip ? what is the substitution flash ic for this phone ? are there any soft solution without changing flash ic ?

you need return back original firmware
if you still can flash phone

You have to have all the 3 buttons in green...maybe u should check the validity of the files u have...it should work! retry

crew : i don't know the original firmware, i still can flash the phone, how can we know the original firmware version ?
by the way, i flash it with gd87a22.rel

Hi,Genocite.If you still can flash phone,do this:run WinMoDo,press Boot,Main and LP buttons (change their colors in GREEN) and flash phone.Must be O.K.

if your lucky bootloader may be ok(crc error may be in main or lang) in which case reflash boot/main/lang and all will be ok if however the crc error was withing the boot area then its a case of changing flash ic or jtag.
