what do i need to do to get the imei no from a gd55 phone please. do i need a data cable to obtain this number.

hi. to all. i just need a little help please

i have had two questions up on this wonderful site for about 4 days one was only posted yesterday thats the one in this thread. the other was in this section for a couple of days but i moved it when i got no response in this section
up to now i have had a few people look but no replies. this is a little disapointing as i feel at least one or two who have looked would probably have the answer to my rather simple questions[ SIMPLE IF YOU KNOW HOW THAT IS]. i have read through some posts to see if they could help but have not found the answers in that way.
i hope every one has had a good easter holiday and have come back refreshed and ready to go.

On the phone enter *#06# on keypad and on screen the imei number of phone will be displayed.
