GD55 Sim MEP Lock Failed [help please]

hi. i hope this is the correct section for this question. which i first put up yesterday but unfortuneately no-one replied

first hi to everyone as this is all very new to me.

i have been given a gd 55 phone when it is switched on it lights up with the vodaphone logo on screen. then asks for the sim card. when i put a vodaphone sim card into thr phone and switch on i get the message [SIM MEP Lock Failed. yet when the original sim that was working with the phone is put in the phone works. i also know that the sim that is not recognised is working as it does work in a nokia 3310. am i not doing something that i should be to get the sim card recognised. please if you have a solution give me the idiots guide as to how to fix it. i am also having a problem with getting the zero button to work properly any suggestions about that would also be of great help .

thanks a lot for your time guys

Try code 53 if using 32 and 12 in order doesn't work.

Hi, I have a GD55 which displays a different IMEI than the one found in the back of the phone. Could any one help me to restore original IMEI?
