GD87 Strange LCD problem - GSM-Forum

I have one GD87 ver A22. Internal display (color) wont come on.
I can switch it on with CB2000 but after awhile it switches off again.
Any ideas?

try the motherboard on another LCD. If it is still the same then problem is in motherboard else the LCD. Hopefully it is not in LCD cause that is the most expensive part in this phone.

Hi BC,

Thanks for the reply. I dont think its a hw problem as I can switch the display on with CB2000 (the testmode screen is on and I can use it on CB2000 normal mode) but after disconnectin from cable the color display disappears. The external LCD still works all the time, though I cant switch the handset off after unless I remove the battery.

Thanks for your suggestions anyway.
