GD87 up/downgrading Problem - GSM-Forum

This is my first attempt at up/downgrading thiese phones, as usual it never went entirely to plan.

I followed the guide here . Using the normal Winmodo and CB2000. however now when ever I try to turn the phone on the screen just keeps flashing and you cant turn it back off.

What I did in a nut shell:

*Upload new firmware/language pack via Winmodo
*Use CB2000 to do the 'Function Clear (Memory Erase)' thingy

I did a trial run just changing the language pack before and that worked fine.

I was trying to downgrade to A22 so i could unlock it via Cracked2D.

Anyone got any ideas what i've missed?

did you select "boot" in winmodo as well as flash??
works for me 100%
p.s never had to use cb2000

Yeah i did, tried it with both A21 and A22 versions of the firmware.

Th epuzzleing thing now is that it just worked perfectly when I upgrade to A53

Possible dodgy firwares before hand?

Ho, Hum. The unlocking ting worked while the screen was flashing. So problem solved
