Red face GD87 + USB Cable + CB2000 cant connect!

I have a ligit GD87 on Vodfone UK and a usb cable from Konnect. I've set the usb cable to be on com port 1 and tried all the gsm900 etc options in cb2000 but can't connect with pin's 4 & 10 blocked or not. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I also can't seem to connect using winmodo to flash it upto a39. I can however connect using the panasonic handset manager, view phone book etc and that's set to com 1. I've searched a load of forums and followed every instruction but no joy. Is it even possible with the usb cable?

If you set the com port correct, it will not be problem on that.

Can you tell me which window version you using and how you set your com port on you pc?

It is ok to use the usb cable, because I from uk also and i've done a few flash and unlock by using my usb cabe from konnect also.

I've tried it on windows 2000 and 98se. I've disabled the serial ports in bios on all the machines i've tried it on as well. The com port was set to 03f8 - 03ff and irq 04 on com 1 on win2000 and just 03F8 - 03FF with no irq on the win 98 machine.
